Swindon Music Service Financial Assistance

The Swindon Music Service Financial Assistance Scheme for the academic year 2020/21 is available for children and young people aged 5 – 18 years, living in Swindon.

Subject to the conditions and criteria set out in the document below, successful applicants will receive 60% financial assistance up to a maximum of £100.00 per term (3 terms per academic year) towards the cost of one course of instrumental or vocal tuition for the academic year.

Students awarded financial assistance for their lessons are also entitled to 60% financial assistance towards the payment of ensembles at Swindon Young Musicians (SYM).

Musical Instrument Hire
Financial assistance may also be provided for the loan of a musical instrument which will be supplied from Swindon Music Service’s stock of instrument, if Swindon Music Service has an appropriate instrument in stock. Please refer to the criteria document below for full information.

How to Apply
Please download and complete the application form using the link below. Once completed, please return with supporting documents to Finance Administrator, Swindon Music Service, The Platform, Faringdon Road, Swindon SN1 5BJ or email to: pclark@smscio.co.uk

To offer continuity of lessons existing beneficiaries should reapply now. Applications received from existing beneficiaries received after 29th February 2020 will be processed as new applications and cannot be guaranteed.
