SMS Virtual Music World
Virtual Music World has been published to allow music lessons and ensemble/group sessions to be accessed from your home.
Virtual Music World is divided into two sections:
- SMS Virtual Music World for Schools
- SMS Virtual Music World for the Community
SMS Virtual Music World for Schools
In SMS Virtual Music World for Schools we will develop our services that we traditionally offer to schools through our online provision programme.
This will be achieved by the following means:
- Pre-recorded videos that will be accessed through a password on this website.
- Live streaming sessions.
- Follow-up Zoom type meetings with class teachers, music coordinators or teaching assistant.
- Live webinars.
- Zoom type individual instrumental lessons.

SMS Virtual Music World for the Community
In SMS Virtual Music World for SYM we will develop ensemble and group sessions accessed online.
This will be achieved by the following means:
- Online individual music lessons through Zoom.
- Remote access to music sheets and recording to assist you learning your individual music part in preparation for live music performances.
- Group hangouts with your tutor to chat through musical aspects (from September).
- Live group online sectional rehearsals with your tutor (from September).
- Producing recordings through the layering of individual recorded performances.
- Virtual music exam opportunities through our partnership with ABRSM.
